Manager
Fiona was born and raised in Prestonpans and has been part of Harlawhill for over 30 years. It really is a family affair for Fiona as members of her family have also been involved with the Centre over the years in a voluntary capacity. She is the driving force behind the Centre and a champion for the elderly in the community. A problem solver who achieves positive results for our clients. Nothing is ever too much trouble.
Senior Carer / volunteer co-ordinator
Gillian has worked in the care industry for many years and previously worked with the Church of Scotland caring for adults with complex needs. She always says that working at Harlawhill for her is more like getting to spend every day with your friends and family and who wouldn’t want to do that for a living. A natural carer and a hard worker with a heart of gold.
carer / bus escort
Louise has a long background in the care industry and is a natural carer. She always has an infectious smile and is just loved by everyone in the Centre. Always up for a dance or a bit of pampering when the ladies require it. No wonder she is always in demand and she wouldn’t have it any other way.
carer / bus escort
Emma has worked in the care industry for many years and brings with her a wealth of experience in elderly care. The youngest member of the team and an ex hairdresser too so we expect her to be a cut above the rest (excuse the pun). A relatively new recruit who has slotted in well with the team and clients alike.
carer / bus escort
Jackie is our latest recruit, originally from Dundee but has stayed long enough in East Lothian for us to forgive her. After a long career in Adult Social Care she brings with her an abundance of transferable skills to the care sector. She has been a great fit for the team and the members love her already.
driver
Yvonne is our morning driver and is always a friendly, welcoming face to greet our clients in the morning. Her smile, humour and positive outlook can brighten up even the dreariest of days. With a previous career in the Armed Forces she handles everything in her stride and is always there to help those in need.
Driver
Dougie is our afternoon driver and makes sure everyone gets delivered home safely after another exiting day at Harlawhill. A local lad with a wealth of driving experience and a very talented guitarist, he keeps everyone entertained on the journey home.
